Death Doula
Jill McClennen is a certified death doula and a certified funeral celebrant through Insight Institute. As a funeral celebrant, Jill creates deeply personal, meaningful ceremonies that honor life and legacy, weaving together storytelling, ritual, and symbolism to help families mark transitions with authenticity and care. Her role is to design ceremonies that reflect the unique values, beliefs, and wishes of those she serves.
Jill is also the host of the "Seeing Death Clearly" podcast, where she engages in thoughtful conversations with guests about death, dying, grief, and living fully. She offers compassionate support, practical preparation, and deep emotional healing to clients and their families, providing services both in person and virtually.
Jill designs death-positive apparel to spark important conversations about death and grief in our communities. She believes in the power of open dialogue to normalize these conversations, creating safe space for people to explore and express their thoughts and emotions.
Her journey as a death doula and funeral celebrant has profoundly shaped Jill’s perspective on life’s priorities, fueling her mission to help others clarify their core values — regardless of the time they have left. She advocates for honest, open discussions about death and grief among friends and loved ones, including age-appropriate conversations with children from an early age.
