Clancy Denton  0:00
Hello, okay, now, yeah, there's

Rick Denton  0:04
our cold open.

Clancy Denton  0:05
This is the loud quiet living the empty nest. Hey guys, welcome back. This is episode 56 of the loud quiet. And thank you again. We had some encouraging words this weekend from listeners, and it's just nice to know that y'all are out there listening or watching. We really do appreciate it. My voice is a little off this morning, and yours may be as well. We It was nice. We had parents weekend for Tanner, which we weren't sure. We didn't know that was the thing for grad school, law school, but it is, and it was so nice that we didn't have to get on a plane. We could just drive down there, we did a whole day of festivities that we may talk about later, and and then we got to drive home and sleep in our own bed. So that was very nice that we did not have to get on a plane. And it was very it was a lot of fun. It was fun seeing him with his new crew of friends that he added to so that was it was nice, nice group of kids, nice group of parents that were in town for it. So great time. Like I said, we didn't have to get on a plane. And so it's ironic that today the topic is something that you came up with. So I don't know anything really about what we're talking about, except that it involves travel, yeah. So,

Rick Denton  1:31
and it is, well, I'll start with talking about so here, this is what the show is going to be about. This is going to be about giving ideas to really anybody, but more so empty nesters on travel destinations that you might not have considered and travel destinations for 2025 you're here at the beginning of fall. It's the time to start looking at flights and things that you might want to do for next year. And here's some things that I feel pretty confident that folks aren't going to have considered these before. Some maybe because I know when I looked at it, I was surprised, and it's made up of two lists. These are two lists. One is put out by the BBC, and one was put out by intrepid travel. And I'll get a link to both articles in the show notes here, but the first one from the BBC is talking about four destinations that are actively seeking travelers. What's happening right now is over tourism. Post covid Revenge travel has created a situation of over tourism. And you see, while there are plenty of pictures of folks at say Santorini that look beautiful, there are also the pictures that show you what happens when three cruise ships arrive at the same time. There are destinations that have actually experienced Barcelona, for example, a backlash against tourists in the Thankfully, it wasn't violent, in a sense, but Barcelona residents started shooting water guns at tourist and tour busses. And I get this

Clancy Denton  3:07
that might feel kind of good in the summer. Maybe I have this completely wrong. They were just trying to cool everyone off. I feel

Rick Denton  3:14
like the signs and the rage don't match that hypothesis. But, you know, maybe and so as people couple, a couple like us who like to travel, also don't like to be nut to butt with a bunch of people trying to see the same thing. I have a not you and me, but I have a vivid memory of trying to see the Mona Lisa and thinking, well, this sucks, because there's so many people around. Here's a list of in the end, it'll be about 14 destinations, and gonna go through them and get your reaction to them as we go through them. How's that sound?

Clancy Denton  3:47
So the first four are the ones that are, are wanting tourists to come. That's

Rick Denton  3:54
right, they have actively, their, their tourism groups, their, their whatever's have said yes, and then

Clancy Denton  4:01
the people the other 10 are ones that are on the not hot list. That's right. I

Rick Denton  4:06
don't think I finished that. You're right. The Intrepid travels 2025, not hot list. I just came aware of this. They do it every year. Yeah, who? It'd be fun to look at, like, what was 20? You know, 15 is not hot list, and is now. So,

Clancy Denton  4:18
you know, for empty nesters and those of us who are listening if your job, if you're not fully retired, and if your job allows it, you know, you can travel anytime. But for those that still have kids in college, or, you know, even post college, that have just started their jobs, sometimes summer is the only time you can, you know, choose to travel. So, you know, it'll be interesting to see what some of these areas are. And

Rick Denton  4:50
that's a great point, because you can avoid some of the over tourism by finding yourself going to the shoulder seasons of some of these places. Greece. One of those, you've tied it pretty well a mixture of weather and the place shuts down to make sure you're at the right place. So here's and this one surprised me when I saw it first, but now I understand why this is the one of the four destinations that are actively seeking and it's Greenland, oh yeah, and we're hearing about it. And the reason why Greenland came to this list is they just added a new airport that has allowed greater access to Greenland than what was once there before. I don't know. I'm not here to plan anybody specific travels. I can't say that there's a JFK to Greenland flight or anything like that, but there's now greater access. So when I say Greenland, what do you think? Well,

Clancy Denton  5:39
okay, what you know, what popped into my head is that, yeah, you can probably get there. Now, it's not fully because of, I don't know where everyone stands on global warming, but you know, it's probably, oh interesting that there's actually places to go now. I mean, all you know, all I ever think of as Greenland is when every time you're flying to Europe or you go over Greenland, that's right,

Rick Denton  6:08
well, and it is. It's one of the things that it talks about 80% like in this it's saying 80% of the population of Greenland sees tourism as something that offers a positive contribution to society. That's a great example of a place that is saying, all right, we want it. We aren't over touristed. There's two main forms of tourism there, the first being adventure tourism, like rock climbing and whale watching and camping. And then there's year round tourism, so things like the dark sky tourism and being able to see stargazing in Northern Lights without perhaps some of the legends and the ring of fire type vibe. I wonder if Greenland's sort of the next Iceland, probably geographically positioned and similar, reasonable access to it. So is Greenland now on your list?

Clancy Denton  6:59
It's on a list. I don't know on my list, but All

Rick Denton  7:02
right. Number two is Morocco.

Clancy Denton  7:04
Oh gosh, that's, uh huh. I figured people went to Morocco, me too. I mean, I've known people that have been to Morocco. So

Rick Denton  7:14
it is, it's keen to welcome more international visitors, because it is building a ton of new infrastructure and hotels ahead of the 2030 World Cup. Okay, so they are actively seeking folks, and they're putting more infrastructure. So this is not a, this isn't a case of, it's a not hot list. It's just they're saying, all right, we got a bunch of places for y'all to stay, although in the list of 14, there's going to be a little offshoot of Morocco. Now here's one that's sort of an aside to this. Would you visit Afghanistan? It's not on the four, but apparently the Taliban has started running training sessions for Hospitality and Tourism professionals. That

Clancy Denton  7:55
one I'm not sure about, yeah,

Rick Denton  7:56
it did not

Clancy Denton  7:58
has a little,

Rick Denton  8:01
yeah, well, and to be very precise, the UK Foreign Office and the US State Department advising in Afghanistan. So they're saying, you know, it's a place to that others may choose to go, and who knows, it may show up on a list, but Morocco is where you might want to be going Serbia. What do you think when I say Serbia,

Clancy Denton  8:29
the Serbs in history? Well, I think about, that's all. I think

Rick Denton  8:35
about war. I think about, what was the night. I forget which years, but kind of the 90s, that sort of thing, the Dubrovnik, the is that the capital city, it's a main city in Croatia, is experiencing all sorts of

Clancy Denton  8:50
now, Croatia, yes, I know tons of people that went to Croatia this past summer and the Summer before. So any

Rick Denton  8:59
reaction to that one.

Clancy Denton  9:02
Well, it just history this. I mean, that's, I would not think of going there. Yes,

Rick Denton  9:08
I didn't realize this, that it's as undiscovered as it is. It had so much to me. There's so much war in mind when I think of Serbia, that there's more people from these travel agencies that say they're going, folks are going to Albania and Bosnia over Serbia. So it's another one of those that

Clancy Denton  9:27
say Bosnia is another one that you just all you associate with is, yeah, is war. Serbia

Rick Denton  9:33
has mountains that draw skiers in winter, hikers in summer. Ecotourism, a ton of foothills and wellness resorts. And it's a place that, again, the population saying, hey, please come. We want tourists see. This

Clancy Denton  9:48
is where I need a map because Easter, I'm very geographically challenged. So

Rick Denton  9:56
well I did like this. There's a phrase that. There's some great sites, and I'm gonna slaughter this. But petrovar, petrovar Aden, the petro fortress, name, nicknamed the Gibraltar of the Danube. Oh, so that could be kind of cool. All right. Last one, Georgia, the country

Clancy Denton  10:21
again, though, these are all countries that the only time growing up we ever heard about them was involving, you know, civil wars, wars. So this

Rick Denton  10:33
is one where tourism is relatively new in Georgia. And isn't

Clancy Denton  10:37
Georgia tiny? Like are these all kind of is Georgia real small? Well, I

Rick Denton  10:42
guess it's all relative. Yeah, it's bigger than Luxembourg and smaller than Texas, so, but yeah, yeah, it's that. It. There's just so much beauty in Eastern Europe. I think when I think about these kind of things, there's a lot of it. That's how willing are you Clancy will actually use specifically, but how willing are the general you to forego perhaps some typical tourist comforts to be able to be somewhere that others aren't?

Clancy Denton  11:08
But I bet in a lot of these countries that you've mentioned, they've probably done Uber luxury, because now that this list has come out. There are certain echelons of people that will be, oh, we want to be amongst the first ones to get there. And so these countries know those are usually people that have the means to travel. So they're going to appeal. And I bet there's some pretty nice luxury properties.

Rick Denton  11:44
Yeah, I don't have any details in this. Enjoy all the details I'm providing here. More of a list, and do your own research, but I will put the links in there. So those are the four that are begging for tourists, that are wanting tourists. I think

Clancy Denton  11:56
out of those four, I would probably Greenland would probably be the first one that I would go to on that list. Yeah. I mean, Morocco was Morocco. Yeah, Morocco. Morocco seems that feels like it's kind

Rick Denton  12:11
of a cheater to add that one.

Clancy Denton  12:13
It feels those feel safe. Excuse me, maybe easier. I don't know. I don't know what the word I'm looking for, but accessible

Rick Denton  12:25
is what comes to mind. That it is that instead of putting on a backpack and planning to be somewhat rustic in how you approach the travel, and I don't mean literally camping, but

Clancy Denton  12:39
oh well, I'm out for all that, so you know that, but I'm not really going to be high to go to Afghanistan like that's not going to be top of my list. So, so

Rick Denton  12:50
let's talk about the not hot list. And I will try to go a little quicker through these. I will do a bad job of pronouncing them. Okay? So but the first one, and again, for all of our Pakistani listeners, forgive me for mispronouncing this region, the city, but it is the Gilgit, Gilgit Baltistan, I think pretty common about the last one, the Baltistan, but Gilgit Baltistan, it is this huge, pristine mountain region in Pakistan. And while it's, you know, there's perhaps not as much of the amenities there, but it is this area that it's the not hot list. So do you want to go see something that has beauty that for mountaineers, folks that are actually kind of you've got the Himalayas. There's some things that are close to this, but folks haven't gone to Pakistan because of the perception of safety. That's starting to change a bit. I'm looking at this picture that I'll put on and post your stand here. Right?

Clancy Denton  13:53
My question was going to be, does this article have the content? I mean, does it have the things listed today. Okay,

Rick Denton  14:02
well, intrepid is an agency that you could work through to get your tour put together. And I think that's one of the things that these not hots, that unless you're truly a bold traveler, these are probably ones you're going to want to hook up with a company to tap into.

Clancy Denton  14:25
Yeah, I'm not a bold traveler and, and even if I have a company planning it for me, there's certain things that I'm not interested in doing. Yeah, and that

Rick Denton  14:34
one is about mountaineering. That was the first one. The next one, it's actually Greenland again, yeah, but here's, here's kind of the nuance. It's almost like, if you see a list of Greece, Mykonos, San Santorini, Athens, but there's other islands. This is the equivalent of that, that if you go to the other islands in Greece, you can get a similar experience with fewer people. This disco island in Greenland, the. Cruise ships don't necessarily go there. A lot of what Greenland travel is is cruise ships that kind of just go around and look at the beauty, as opposed to being on this island. And this is a both a beauty immersion. It's a whale watching immersion. It's a nature immersion. And there's community there. So the picture here is one that, you know, it's a soccer it's a football, a soccer field. So a community that is, you're sort of, you're getting to be a part of, and a lot of travel for many, is the cultural motion. All right, well, Greenland, we did talk about earlier. Now this one, I think I feel pretty confident that is going to be on a yes list. It's cape, York, in Australia. And the idea behind this is, it's still Australia. It's everything. Think about Australia. But folks aren't there?

Clancy Denton  15:48
Yeah, I we actually were talking about Australia yesterday with one of Tanner's new friends, because she had spent some time there. And she said it was great. The people were great. And she said, you know, they all one thing she said, you know, is that the Australians are such huge travelers outside of their country because they've done their country. It's like, you know, you've seen every part of Texas, so you go to other states. So that was an interesting point. And, yeah, I don't know why we've never, we've never done Australia

Rick Denton  16:27
a distance, yeah. I mean, is your it's just not one that you think of because it's so stinking far away. I mean, when Hong Kong feels close compared to Australia, then you realize how far away Australia really is. Yeah. All right, next one the Adirondacks as the not hot list, huh?

Clancy Denton  16:46
I thought that was a me too popular place. I wonder

Rick Denton  16:49
if we're confusing Catskills with adirondacks or and what it said is a lot of the reason so this is upstate New York, and imagine any of the beauty that you would expect associated when you hear the Adirondacks, when you hear the mountains and the fall foliage and all of that, the Finger Lakes and that sort of thing, I didn't realize this, and it is something about travel. We go to places that are labeled. We go to national parks because they are organized into a national park. We go to Yellowstone. We go to Grand Canyon. The Adirondacks, what they're describing here is a patchwork of private and public lands, with many without fees. It's just sort of open access. It's kind of a rambling, sort of approach to it, where it's not that you go up to a visitor center and here is the Adirondack National Park.

Clancy Denton  17:38
Interesting, because, yeah, I mean, you've always heard I've never been but I've always heard about it. People reference it in shows and movies, and yeah, so they

Rick Denton  17:49
and they they're adding, let's see if I can see it quickly. There's a new rail that they're adding. And so that's part of why it may be the not hot list, but there may start to be more of an attraction there. It's phrasing in here is America's forgotten great wilderness charges into its own with the addition of the new rail trade. So

Clancy Denton  18:07
I wonder when the best time of year would be to go there?

Rick Denton  18:12
Yeah, I don't know, because if I would assume it doesn't get too hot, and yet you do get kind of hot and humid there,

Clancy Denton  18:18
you wouldn't want to be there in the dead of winter, either.

Rick Denton  18:21
I imagine trying to time for fall foliage would certainly be spectacular. All right, same Chand Mongolia, with far fewer crowds and new rail adventures enhancing accessibility, now is the time to go full steam ahead towards same shad. What do you think of when you hear Mongolia

Clancy Denton  18:43
again? I just go back to, you know, world history in high school. So all I think of is, yes, the Mongols and the the guy with the long mess, you know, right? So, and that's interesting, because we've done so much Asia and Mongolia just you would never

Rick Denton  19:06
it's such a big like, if you look at the map, it's a big country when you see that. And I visualize kind of the big open lands and the history and the ruins, and I feel like yurts and Yaks and all that come to mind. I could see Mongolia being on a list. Yeah, I'd like to test that one out. All right, this one, this one really surprised me. So now we're back Adirondacks, of course, in the US. Now we're back in the Western Hemisphere, in South America. When you look at South America. There's these countries that sit sort of on top the you've got Colombia, you've got some some others there will Guyana is a country that's right there up top. And I've always looked at it thinking, Oh, it'd be kind of fun to just go there to check the box and everything I'd seen. It's just not ready for it. Well, rupun. The Savannah I really should have practiced is a part of South America's least visited country. So imagine that in the entire continent, this is the least visited country, and now it's ready to bring visitors in.

Clancy Denton  20:15
So is it a savannah? I mean, is it right? Is it just called like, because is it more? Does it gear towards when? So when you say, what is it? Gianna,

Rick Denton  20:27
Gianna, Gianna, Guyana. I

Clancy Denton  20:29
mean, is that really that's South America, see, okay, so, is it more like, like, when you say Savannah, I think of Africa with the savannas and that kind of so I imagine

Rick Denton  20:45
there's elements of it, very much like Africa. The one picture that I'm seeing here again, having done no research on this, is just this article, is imagine almost a tiny portion of Victoria Falls, or Iguazu Falls, so you've got the big trees, and then the rock faced waterfall, with the huge waterfall coming down. And of course, a travel guide is going to pick the prettiest pictures that are out there. But that idea of going to the least visited country and being someone, there's a part of this that I'm would just want to be a person that says, Yeah, I went to Guyana, or Guyana, or however it said, want to add that to our list this year.

Clancy Denton  21:23
See, here's the problem with this list, is that there's still so many other places that are are more known that I want to go to. I I'm not the most I am adventurous when it comes to food and those kind of things. I'm not super adventurous. I don't want to climb the mountain. I don't want to I don't like being uncomfortable. So if

Rick Denton  21:54
there's a mosquito net involved,

Clancy Denton  21:58
just standing in a pair of boots yesterday for eight hours. This morning, I woke up, I was like, what happened? My body hurts so bad. Well, then I'm thinking maybe, maybe these aren't for empty nesters. Maybe these are more for maybe these are for your kids. That's

Rick Denton  22:15
right for the kids that left, if you want them to really go away. Here's a not hot list for them.

Clancy Denton  22:20
I mean, Australia I would do, and some of the other ones I would do, but, you know, I just It involves camping mountains, unless it's nice camping.

Rick Denton  22:34
So, well, I don't know how you're gonna feel about that. We're going back to Morocco with number seven on the not hot list, the anti. What a name the anti Atlas Mountains. So it built in is the not hotness of it's an anti but the lesser known mountain range is stepping out from the shadow of Morocco's most famous peaks, revealing its own allure. For adventurers, I like the idea of being able to go to a country that is so well known, but you see the things that aren't well known that you get away from it, just like the Australia one that we were talking about,

Clancy Denton  23:06
but see if I'm going to Australia for the first time. Yeah, I want to hit Sydney. I want to hit, you know, so now Morocco, Morocco does pique my interest, and you could probably do that together with

Rick Denton  23:21
and I think that's what this is starting to this region is, as it said, stepping out of the shadow of its more famous areas and being able to attract tours. And like with any growing Okay, people have to have a place to go, Yeah, and so when there's that demand, oftentimes business will fill that demand. So the anti Atlas Mountains of Morocco is number seven. This one, the next one's interesting to me because I just had a guest from on my other podcast, CX, passport from this country, and it's the first time I had somebody from this country, Ghana. Oh, and I know that your brother has spent some time there. I believe, if not, he's been around there. I think so. So Accra, Ghana, and it is viewed as one of the safer regions in West Africa, at least, according to this article. And I found this interesting, the next girls trip, the movie girls trip, the sequel is going to be filmed. Oh no, actually, set in Ghana. Uh huh, interesting. And it talked about a burgeoning art scene and cultural scene, and it will be interesting to see if we listen to this two years from now, and people like, oh yeah, of course, I went to Ghana, yeah.

Clancy Denton  24:40
So that's interesting, because you and I are watching a show right now that is set in Key West. And so you we were saying, oh, we should go to Key West. And they were like, is this show gonna make it the most, you know? Oh, everyone wants to go there. Just, you know, like any of i. Why

Rick Denton  25:00
Lord of the Rings suddenly helped explode New Zealand. Terms, people were going to New Zealand. People were going to Key West. But when it's put in front of you and you see the beauty or the interest of the community, off you go.

Clancy Denton  25:11
I would like to do Africa at some point, right? We haven't done that one either, so I have,

Rick Denton  25:16
I have technically checked the African box by having gone to Egypt on a work trip, but to see the rest of the continent and to see that as a couple would be great. Maldonado, Uruguay or Uruguay. Not sure exactly how folks like to pronounce it. I know how growing up as Uruguay, because it has historically been overshadowed by Argentina and Chile when it comes to wine making. Uruguay is coming into its own from wine making. So knowing how good the beef is there, and if the wine is good, this may need to get on the list a little sooner than later. Yeah.

Clancy Denton  25:54
And there's, you know, yes. Then there's other South American countries that we haven't, you know, been to that we haven't done a lot in that region. No, we tend to do Europe and Asia, which is

Rick Denton  26:10
interesting, because you think about how South America should be more on Atari one, there's such great things to see, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, no jet lag, yeah. I

Clancy Denton  26:22
know it's just yeah

Rick Denton  26:24
and yes, the flight from DFW to Sao Paulo is further than the flight from DFW London. It's not short, but wouldn't it be great not to have jet lag and still have an exotic destination? Yeah, all right, last one on the list, and I don't know about this one,

Clancy Denton  26:40
okay, well, I

Rick Denton  26:42
don't know that it. They have a whole reason for including things, but Oslo Norway,

Clancy Denton  26:48
oh, oh, that it's Why are you saying that? Because I wouldn't

Rick Denton  26:52
think it was on a not, oh, not Yeah, because, and the point that is made in here is that the sexier destinations of Stockholm, yeah, everywhere is to Sweden and yeah, other other places at Helsinki, or other things that catch people's eye, that somehow Oslo Norway has not caught this one well,

Clancy Denton  27:12
because here's the thing you read This article, you're probably one of the few, like, maybe none of our other listeners have read this article. So when you think of, let's go to that area Sweden, we're going to go to Sweden. I, you know, I know Norway is there, but I don't know anyone who's been to Norway unless it was on business or or

Rick Denton  27:36
doing and that was one that was pointed out here is most folks get right through Oslo and go to the fjords, the nor the Norway fjords and all of that. They aren't going to stay. They're not the city and experiencing the city itself. They think of the and again, cruises and other things not going to the city.

Clancy Denton  27:56
I think it's good. I think this article is good and that it can help you. Like I said, kind of group, you know? Okay, let's do Spain and Portugal, and then let's add in Morocco, or whatever's right, you know, in that area, I don't know that I would spend the whole time, but you could add on some of these places, that's

Rick Denton  28:23
a whole nother discussion around travel, right? Of you know, how do you? And that's the list. That's your 14 How do you? How do you travel? Because there is the style of travel that is hit it quickly, and hit a lot of things. And you get to see, you get to see it. You get to experience but you don't get to deeply experience it. And I'm not actually here to say that I think one is better than the other. I know that I might prefer one or the other, but if, let's say that you literally had one time in your life to travel to Europe, well then you might want to check

Clancy Denton  28:55
it. But I liked how we did Italy, where we did different parts of Italy. And when we did, you know, we did Hong Kong and China in the same air. You know, when we were in Japan, we went to different cities in Japan, in Europe, it's a little easier because they are closer together. But like you're saying, I don't want to do one day in this country, one day in this country, one day in the you know it, I get what you're saying that it's nice to there are things that we would have missed out on. If we had done travel, we might

not have heard the, oh, the OP prompt to opera being performed the square of some tiny town at dinner. I don't know where we were, and I just, I want to be fair to those that have chosen the checkbox. I realized my even my words somewhat dismissive. There's a lot of great things to see in this world, and life is limited, and so I. Can see an appetite towards, I'm going to try to hit many things well.

Clancy Denton  30:04
And I think too, the way that we have had to structure our vacations up to, you know, having both in college now, was they were still involved at one time or another in activities that took place in the summer, right? So you had to take 10 to 12 days to do and so with that, that's hard to flit around to different countries. But yeah,

Rick Denton  30:32
it absolutely. And I mean, I know I have this fantasy that I've expressed of, let's just get a villa in country X and live there for three months. And then, yeah, you take a little trip here. Take a little take a little trip there, that sort of stuff. And really slow travel it. It is funny how family kind of keeps coming to the forefront, though, of how well do we really want to be away for that long? And that's where you try to find those slow travel moments that maybe it's not three months, yeah, but maybe it's three weeks, well.

Clancy Denton  30:57
And even, like last night, we were talking again about, you know, a trip that we want to do as a family, and just trying to coordinate what their summers are going to be like. So you were like, well, you know what, we'll go and then we'll do something else with y'all, because we're getting, we're getting to that point where, you know, we love our kids. Neither one of them are married yet, thank goodness, but you know, so we still like to travel as a family of four, so it but it is getting a little more difficult when they don't have the one of them doesn't have the traditional summer college break like the other one will. So, yeah, absolutely.

Rick Denton  31:44
And it was to use the word conflict, is way overstating it, but I could feel myself getting a little annoyed, like, Well, wait, all right, screw it. I can't continue to bend to your schedule. And that's all right, we

Clancy Denton  31:59
moved on. Yeah, no, and it's fine. And you know, we will figure it out, and

Rick Denton  32:04
we'll take everybody to Guyana

Clancy Denton  32:07
in August. Although I don't know what it's like there. Sure

Rick Denton  32:13
it's not comfortable.

Clancy Denton  32:16
Maybe Greenland for the summer. There we go. Yes,

Rick Denton  32:20
we're trying another G's. We'll try to get there, which is certainly not on the not hot boy, that's a lot of negatives. Amazing. Germany is certainly on everybody's Hot List. Oh, yeah, the other G,

Clancy Denton  32:31
yes. So,

Rick Denton  32:33
man, well, so out of those 14, I think you already said, you said Greenland would be the one you'd pick.

Clancy Denton  32:40
Well or Morocco. I would do Morocco because I do want to do Spain and Portugal, but we'll probably choose to do that when she is studying abroad, if she still decides to do that in Barcelona, which, who knows, by then they may, although I would imagine they like the university and because I would imagine the university they probably get, yes, they probably get some sort of funding from. I would have the universities so, but I know Morocco. I would do Morocco and Australia. I would do, I just probably won't get in the water because there's too many sharks, but there are.

Rick Denton  33:24
I'm just going to sit here inside see I want to, of course, those, but I really want to, like, I want to go to some of these exotics before my body won't let me go to some of these exotics. And I'm not here to say that Guyana versus Mongolia versus Pakistan, like I just I know that there's going to come a time that a country won't have the accessibility that I might need as I get older. And so the temptation is, I mean, we're not doing any this is all fantasy right now, but that's why some of the exotics really catch my mind.

Clancy Denton  34:03
Maybe you should plan a guy's trip for those if it involves, like, hiking up the mountain to your sleeping spot. I'm not in for that. Fair enough, even though my body will let me do it, I'm not fair

Rick Denton  34:17
enough. Good point.

Clancy Denton  34:20
So there. So let us know if you've been like I said, I've know, I know several people that have already done Morocco. That one was kind of a big one this summer that I saw several, and the pictures were beautiful from there. So, but, you know, let us know if you've been to any of these countries, or thought about it, or where you did your travels.

Rick Denton  34:38
What's on your not hot list? Yeah, what would you say you'd want to go to? But it's not popular, and if you don't want us to tell anybody, we won't, we'll just add it to our list. All right, ready to go? Book a flight.

Clancy Denton  34:55
I don't know. Every time I pull up my app, we have so many flights already booked for.

Rick Denton  35:00
I'm going to I'm going somewhere in a few days. Yes? Well, yes, I'm going somewhere in a few days.

Clancy Denton  35:06
Yes, you're going somewhere in a couple of days. And then we're off again after that. So it's always, always a fun time on the loud, quiet, living the empty nest.
